In this class we will be looking at the way Faroese shawls are constructed and how their unique shaping allows for contemporary lace motifs. Far from being dainty special occasion objects, Faroese shawls are big, warm everyday items that sit well on shoulders. We will be knitting a mini-shawl that will teach you about a rekindled knitting tradition and also teach you valuable skills for a full-sized shawl.
