Steeking is the name of the process that culminates in cutting one’s knitting. And why would you want to steek your knitting? Colourwork is most easily managed when working in the round, but knitting in the round creates long tubes. If you want necklines, armholes, or cardigans - you will want to know how to steek!
Designer and teacher Karie Westermann will work with you to demystify the bizarre notion of cutting into your knitting. You'll learn different ways of securing your stitches and how to finish your steeked edges. And most importantly, you'll learn how to steek your knitting with absolute confidence.
This class is aimed at intermediate knitters who know how to knit in the round and has worked at least one colourwork project. There is a tiny amount of homework.
