The Astrid hat takes its name and inspiration from Swedish children’s author Astrid Lindgren whose works lit up my childhood.

Taking my cue from Lindgren’s books, the hat is whimsical and bold - but it would still warm your ears in a Swedish snow storm.

The hat uses three colours of a warm double-knitting yarn and a playful pompom on top. Sizing modification tips are included in the pattern.

Yarn Used: Garnstudio DROPS Lima (DK/Light Worsted Weight; 65% Wool 35% Alpaca; 100m per 50 g ball)

Contrast colour 1: approx 80 yds
Contrast colour 2: approx 80 yds

Needles: 3.25mm (US 3) and 4mm (US 6) circular needles or double-pointed needles

Size: One size (53 cm/21”) with sizing modifications available in pattern.
