Hillhead Hat PDF Pattern
Hillhead Hat PDF Pattern
Hillhead is a little hat that I designed on a whim whilst travelling. I had brought three balls of yarn with me and sat doodling on a ferry when I suddenly remembered a pullover my gran had knitted for me as a child. The memory of that pullover formed the basis of the colourwork pattern. And of course I had to add a pom pom.
This pattern is fully written with a colourwork chart, and is suitable for advanced beginners and up.
The hat is seamless and is worked in the round. It uses one colour for the rib and the pom pom, and two colours for the colourwork.
Please make a gauge swatch before starting the pattern, so a good fit is ensured
Tip: Choose colours with a strong contrast for colourwork that really pops!
